Mother to twin 2 year olds and a 8 month old!!!IS IT TRUE that when your pregnant ones skin glows and looks very healthy?
Ok let me answer this because I already see erroneous answers. The reason your hair is so thick during pregnancy is due to increased hormones. However, after giving birth your hormone levels drop due to the death of the corpus luteum. This will make some of your ';extra'; hair fall out. The falling hormones are also responsible for postpartum depression.

Hair loss/gain is NOT due to eating better or prenatal vitamins.
You know i don't really think i have a glow. I just have really nice skin thanks to my mom and dad. I have noticed though that i have more freckles than b4, i am light olive (Hispanic) and i didn't even know tanned people got freckles. My hair i noticed is very full but thats is because of my prenatal vitamins, they help with the hair loss so i loose less hair everyday. My nails have always grown pretty fast and they are pretty strong but now that i am taking prenatals for my pregnancy they are soo darn strong its crazy. I think every woman is different. Some woman break out during pregnancy and some woman get a pregnany mark on their face. i just think everyones body handles the icrease in hormones differently. I just hope that after i have my baby i am like my mom and i am able to loose the weight by breastfeeding. HOPEING SOOO BAD!!!! Good Luck to you, whether you are trying to conceive, pregnant, or just curious :)
p usually hair loss happens after giving birth. i think it's called post-partum alopecia.

The healthy skin, nails and hair comes from how healthy you eat and act while you are pregnant. This means that if you aren't pregnant and eat right and are healthy, you will get this ';glowing'; healthy look anyway.
the reason why some people glow is because you have alot of blood circulating in your system because of the baby. Also, when i had both my kids i lost tons of hair. My baby is now 16 months and my hair is finally normal. Everyone is differnet so dont worry.
My stepmom had a glow to her, but I think that was more because of how happy she was.

She did get some skin issues, blemishes on her face from the hormones as well as some stretch marks on her stomach.

I'd look to your mom and your grandmother for anything that might be helpful.
no some break out...
Not everyone. Some people look better during pregnancy, some look worse.
I have no idea but i'm 22 weeks pregnant and I lose LOTS of my Hair. and if getting bad acne and oily skin is the glow they are talking about then I guess so, I had dry skin before pregnancy now i have oily skin and it looks like I just hit puberty all over again, with all these zits I can't keep away, but any ways. i hope you get the answers.
I was too early to know I was pregnant when my best friends mother ask me if I was, she said there was just something different about me. So I guess you could call it a glow. I notice with my current pregnancy that my skin looked healthier. I did loose some hair after I gave birth, and it really freaked me out at first but I have thick hair so it wasnt noticiable. I couldnt tell you if it would be noticable in someone with thin hair. I also know that my sister didnt loose any hair after her kids.
