Sophia, for 10 years I hired models for the Women Clothing Retailer I worked for. During that time, not a single model we had was ever pregnant and aborted. In fact, models avoid pregnancy for typical reasons.





Most of those reasons are the Nausea and Vomiting causes not to mention the extreme exhaustion. To put it mildly, They can not make money if they are leaning over the toilet throwing up 10 times a day or they can not stay awake for a photo shoot.





On the contrary, not only do they avoid getting pregnant, some in fact take the contraceptive shot because that has a tendency to stop a girls period as well. This gives them more time to make money since one of the questions a model is asked when they come into a shoot is do you have your period.Is it true that some models get pregnant deliberately to get that ';glow'; for certain shoots and than abort?

how many models u know of that were pregnant and then suddenly not anymore? (pls count only the ones who had a preg photoshoot only)

to answer your question : no, they definetly don't.


and if models tend to loose their baby it is most probably because they are so skinni that it is affecting their health.
The answer is simply 'No.' I have never even heard a rumor of it in the industry. It makes no sense. Any look that is needed for the model, including some sort of nebulus glow, can be created better through make-up, lighting, good photography and post processing.





If you need a preggers model, you call an agency and see who they have got in their books and none of those models is preggers just so they can do pregnancy modelling. They are pregnant because they want the baby and they model because that is what they do and there is a market for pregnant models for advertising, PR and even fashion.





NOBODY gets pregnant and then aborts to make a shoot.





I don't know where you got the idea that it is any other way. If it was true, then, because the 'Glow' is the by-product of hormonal changes, you'd have models shooting up pregnancy hormones the way some athletes shoot steroids.





Fashion is make-up artistry, posing, lighting and good photographic direction.
I've NEVER heard of this.
